Repurposed books

I've always been an avid reader and a book enthusiast. I also get inspired by repurposing old items and try to come up with new and innovative ways of using something old. This is what got me initially into crafting and later opening my online store, Brinner.

Combining my interests has allowed me to really explore what can I make out of old paper, mainly used books and old maps. I've been making stationery and cards out of unloved books for a while and have recently wanted to find a way to not only use the book pages but document what I make out of them. This blog was really a way for me to write about things that interest me but also a way to share my latest finds.

I've spend a long while today taking photos of the books I've recently rescued with the intention of saving the details of those finds. As I make more paper goodies for my store, I will start documenting the materials here in my blog. I've added a new tag "materials" in order to make browsing these posts easier. As I get my first sets finished, I will post the details here as well as in my store. Hopefully one day I will have an 'online library' to remind me of the awesome things I've been able to repurpose and send back out into the world.
